Experienced Enjoyable Literacy Intervention

HIGH SCHOOL SUPPORT

Leisa supports my high school daughter with writing and has for the last two years.  The transition to high school can be a shock to the system for many kids, I feel that it really helps her to have practice outside of school to support her writing and spelling skills.  She enjoys coming to her sessions and is doing really well in literacy subjects at school.  They access and use the latest assistive technology which keeps the kids interested and engaged.

LOVES THE SESSIONS, NOT TOO KEEN ON ANY HOMEWORK!

Leisa has been working one-on-one with my daughter throughout her primary education.  Originally we attended face-to-face sessions, however we moved from Sydney and amazingly we were still able to hold our sessions over Zoom, it was a really great help to my daughter's success at school.  

Leisa understands the complexities of having kids with learning difficulties and works with the family to build a strong and positive relationship around literacy.  Being dyslexic is a tough time for kids especially during their schooling, having a positive tutor who understands that intervention needs to be research-based and relevant to each child is an invaluable find.

TWO KIDS AT TUTORING

Both my kids see Leisa for support with their reading and writing. Our eldest was diagnosed with Dyslexia and ADHD in Year Four, so we sought Leisa's help. When my youngest started school and started to struggle with sounds and the PM readers the school were sending home were a disaster, we knew the best thing to do was to enlist the support of Leisa for child number 2 early on.   Leisa has worked with both of my kids for over three years and they have both developed into great readers and have sound spelling strategies. We’ve learned a lot in the process too.
